Medicine Drum Crafting Ceremony

  • Join us in a beautiful weekend of sacred ceremony where you will be held and fully supported to intentionally create your own frame drum and drum beater.

  • We will craft the drums with Kangaroo hide and Pine hoops. Materials are all sourced and prepared ethically. The spirit of the animal and tree are honoured with deep reverence and gratitude to live on through the drums.

    Three aspects are interwoven into the journey:

    • Connecting to and deepening your understanding of yourself, your birth story and your creative process

    • Cultivating a relationship to your drum through the spirits of the animal and wood, and the process of weaving it

    • Rebirthing yourself as a drummer

    Across the weekend we will:

    • Sit in circle to set intentions, share and bare witness to one another

    • Conduct a cacao ceremony

    • Learn about the medicine of the drum, animal, and wood

    • Experience a Shamanic drum journey to meet the animal of the hide

    • Meditate to connect with the tree of your frame

    • Weave your drum

    • Reflect on your birth story and/or creative process

    • Craft your drum beater

    • Receive a drummer blessing and activation

    • Learn how to activate and care for your drum

    This is a gender inclusive circle, a shared safe space for all. Limited to 6 people to keep this intimate and ensure sufficient support for each person.

    Please note: If you would like to use goat or deer hide, or a specific size hoop please let me know asap.

  • All materials for creating a 15" drum and a drum beater (excluding handle)

    Nourishing vegetarian morning and afternoon tea each day

  • $800 AUD, including a $200 deposit to secure your place for a circle of 2-6 people.

Medicine Rattle Crafting Ceremony

  • Join us in a creative weekend held in sacred ceremony to intentionally craft two medicine rattles.

  • You will make and decorate two rattles, a two sided palm rattle, and another of your choice (3-5 sided rattle) with a handle. We will craft the rattles with Kangaroo or Goat hide and a choice of crystals. We honour the spirit of the animal and the crystals with gratitude and reverence to live through the rattles. Materials are all sourced ethically.

    Through the process of crafting each rattle with intention you will cultivate a relationship with your rattles, and also deep your understanding of yourself as you witness your creative process in the moment.

    Across the weekend we will:

    • Sit in circle to set intentions, share and bare witness to one another

    • Conduct a cacao ceremony

    • Learn about the medicine of rattles, the animal, and crystals

    • Experience a Shamanic drum journey to meet the animal of the hide

    • Meditate to connect with the crystals

    • Craft and decorate your rattles

    • Activate your rattles

    This is a gender inclusive workshop, a shared safe space for all. Limited to 6 people to keep this intimate and ensure sufficient support for each person.

  • One handle for a rattle - a foraged stick or repurposed wooden handle

    Lunch each day

    Floor cushions are provided, feel free to bring anything additional such as sheepskins or blankets to ensure your comfort in circle

  • All materials for creating 2 rattles (excluding handle for one rattle)

Creative Circle

  • Connect with your creativity, community and the land over crafting, cacao + cake in a casual yet safe and inclusive circle environment.

  • We begin together in ceremony with cacao and an opening circle overlooking the peaceful Byron Hinterland. You are then welcome to find your own cosy space indoors, on the deck or a grassy knoll on the land to create, craft and connect. We will complete with a brief closing circle.

    This is a gender inclusive circle, a shared safe space for all.

  • A current creative project you can work on + your crafting supplies

    Floor cushions are provided, feel free to bring anything additional such as sheepskins or blankets to ensure your comfort in circle

    An item to place on the altar if you feel called

  • 3 hour circle gathering

    Cacao + cake

    Surplus basket weaving and air dry clay supplies

  • $25 AUD

Dark Moon Circle

  • Connect in sacred circle with like hearted community for releasing, completion and gratitude for the cycle, while creating new intentions and what we want to call in for the new cycle.

  • Dark Moon is the end of the Moon cycle, occurring the day before a New Moon. It is a time for completion and releasing what no longer serves from this cycle, as we move into setting new intentions and beginnings for the new cycle.

    We will begin together in ceremony with an opening circle followed by a shamanic drum journey, and an activity to bring intention to what you may want to release and call in for the new cycle. We will complete with a fire ceremony (when possible) and a brief closing circle followed by herbal teas and nourishing grounding snacks.

    This is a gender inclusive circle, a shared safe space for all.

  • Floor cushions are provided, feel free to bring any additional comforts such as sheepskins or blankets to ensure your comfort in circle

  • 2 hour circle gathering

    Herbal teas + nourishing snacks
